Trips & Visits

At Hugh Christie School we believe pupils can derive huge educational benefits from taking part in visits to their school. In particular, they have the opportunity to undergo experiences not available in the classroom setting. Visits help to develop a pupil's investigative and leadership skills and develop confidence, and longer visits in particular encourage greater independence.

Our school policy is designed to ensure pupils stay safe and healthy on school visits whilst enjoying new experiences. The Headteacher is responsible for all school trips and visits and reports to the Governors to ensure that visits comply with regulations and guidelines set out by the Local Authority, the Government and the school's own Health & Safety policy.

Members of staff will have mobile phones, which can be used to contact you, numbers are given to parents nearer the time of the school trips.
