Visit Diary

Thursday 21st July

Sadly this is our last report from the trip. We spent our final day in Swanage taking part in three different activities - watersports in the bay (pictures above), play on the beach and a trip to the Durlston Nature Reserve.

Students are currently packing up. Tonight we will stay at the Hostel and watch a film or play some games.

We are aiming to leave at 9am. Assume we will be back at 1pm for collection UNLESS we text you otherwise in the morning. Please be on time to collect.

We hope your children have enjoyed the trip.

Wednesday 20th July

Another very busy day today. The Dorset Adventure Park provided the entertainment for day three. This morning the students had time on the giant inflatables. After lunch they got really dirty on the infamous Mud Trail.

This evening we walked into Swanage to play some games. A few stayed behind to watch the Football game.

Tuesday 19th July

A day of amazing weather contrasts. The day started very hot but, after an afternoon thunderstorm and heavy down pours, is now much cooler (fortunately!).

The students have had an excellent day. It is fantastic to hear members of the public compliment them on their politeness. Our guide at Corfe Castle was very impressed by their Medieval and English Civil War knowledge. They asked some really interesting questions.

Monkey World was as impressive as always. The students enjoyed watching the orangutans at play!

After dinner tonight we again went to the town to spend some time on the beach or play football.

It has been a tiring couple of days but the students are in good sprits and looking forward to the activities tomorrow.

Monday 18th July

We have had a fantastic first day.

The trip to Marwell Zoo gave the students the opportunity to see a huge variety of different wildlife including some endangered species. Despite the heat, the students coped superbly managing to see the whole park.

The coach journeys were very quick with very few hold ups. Thank you to our drivers from Link Rider who, again, provided an excellent service.

Students settled into their rooms when we arrived.

After dinner, we visited Swanage seafront to play football or have some fun on the beach.

The students are currently getting ready for bed after a long day!
