Weather cam  here

Monday 19th July

Very hot today! Students kept cool by going in the sea at Studland beach. They also went on a nature walk around the reserve and participated in some water sports (see pictures).
We have kept reminding students all day as usual to apply sun cream and wear caps  if they have one.
Tonight we will stay at the camp, start to pack up and play some games or watch a film before bed!
Tomorrow we will visit Marwell Zoo on the way home. We are expecting to be back around 6-30pm but will let you know by text if this time is earlier or later.
Thank you to all the staff for giving up their time over the weekend to make sure this trip happened. They have been supported by an excellent group of Sixth Formers.
The students have been excellent. We have received so many positive comments from members of the public about their behaviour.
We will see you tomorrow!

Sunday 18th July

The mud and water helped to keep the students cool on a very warm Dorset day. Today's events took place at the Dorset Adventure Park where students clambered over obstacles on the mud trail and jumped on and over obstacles on the lakes.
Students were all very good again today. Tonight another trip to the beach.

Update - evening beach pictures added.

Saturday 17th July

A warm and sunny day on the Jurassic Coast today. However, students have been excellent during our three visits today; Monkey World, steam train and Corfe Castle.

Dinner shortly followed by an evening trip to the beach.

Update - beach pictures uploaded!

Thursday 15th July

Last full day with Year 8 in Dorset. Today we spent the whole day on Studland Beach where the students were able to swim and participate in water sports under the supervision of our two fantastic beach lifeguards from Cumulus.

Mrs Swinnerton also took the groups for a nature walk around the Studland Peninsula which the students found
surprisingly interesting!

Tonight we will stay on site and pack ready for our journey back tomorrow. We will text you in we are expecting to arrive at any time significantly different from 12:30pm.

The students have been excellent. Today we were complimented numerous times by members of the public to say how polite and well behaved the students were.

The staff and Sixth Form helpers have all been amazing and we really hope the children have had a great time.

Wednesday 14th July

Warm sunny day in  Swanage. Today we visited the Adventure Park (pictures left).
Many of children got very wet and muddy. We are going again to the beach later.
Students are all being excellent.

Tuesday 13th July

Great day today. Warm with sunny spells. The groups visited Corfe Castle, Monkey World and took a ride on the steam train.

Hoping to visit the beach tonight weather permitting.

Monday 12th July update

Very good first day. Arrived at Marwell Zoo around 10-30 and spent four hours looking at some amazing animals.
Due to flooding, we had a scenic drive over the New Forest arriving at Swanage around 5-30.
Despite the showers, we had a walk into Swanage tonight.
10-10 and all in rooms ready for bed.
