Changing Places Away

“The Changing Places Away” activity is an extension of the “Changing Places At Home” activity in that from one partner school take over jobs in a partner school in a different country. This activity is particularly challenging considering cultural and language differences between partner schools. As the project progresses, the approaches adopted are changing to take these challenges into account.
Broadly, for this activity pupils are selected from the same group involved in previous Changing Places at Home activity. Positions and lead mentors in the partner schools are identified in advance of the activity.  During the visit students are partnered with their mentors during two days of orientation in the partner school to prepare for the activity. In a similar, manner to the Changing Places at Home activity, the takeover of positions takes place during a single day dedicated to the activity. Following the activity feedback from students and staff is collected to evaluate it.
