Alternative Provision from Monday 23rd March

From Friday 20th March, Hugh Christie School is closed.

If your child has an EHC plan or a social worker, we will already have contacted you to find out if you require your child to come to school, because you cannot safetly keep them at home with supervision.

If you are a key worker (defined here https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-maintaining-educational-provision/guidance-for-schools-colleges-and-local-authorities-on-maintaining-educational-provision)

AND you are not able to supervise your safely child at home, then you can come to school tomorrow. However, this should only be if you have exhausted all other possible options for their care.

The provision will be between 8-30 and 2-50pm Monday to Thursday. We will close as usual at 1-30pm on Friday. A skeleton staff will be present to supervise your child doing the work set by their teachers, that they would have completed if they were staying at home. We cannot guarentee any particluar familiar staff of specialist support will be available.

The purpose of schools closing is to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and hopefully relieve the pressure on the NHS. Therefore, please only use this emergency provision only if you absolutely need to, so we can all support this aim.
