Hugh Christie Science Fair 2018

On Thursday June 28th, Hugh Christie School held the second annual Science Fair.

For this event, students were set the challenge of developing a Science project investigating a topic of their choice.

Participating students exceeded all expectations with the variety of creative and interesting displays. Executive Principal, Jon Barker, alongside several esteemed judges including last year’s winner Finley Rockell, were given the difficult task of narrowing the participants down to the final three.

Well-earned congratulations to:

3rd Place Finalist: Ewan Davie, James Anderson and Max Dawson who investigated How the Length of Time Food Spends on the Floor will affect the Amount of Bacteria it will carry

2nd Place Finalists:  Phoebe Clifton and Sophie Williams for their investigation into How Age Affects Fear

1st Place Winner:  Ben Dyke, for his investigation into Student Stress

In addition, Hugh Christie students were also able to vote on their favorite project. This year’s Students Choice Winner was awarded to Libby Carter and Maddy Jeffrey for their project on Mind Tricks

Congratulations to all!
