The Friends of Hugh Christie

The Friends of Hugh Christie are a group of parents, teachers and friends set up to encourage pFOHC_New_logo_2013arental involvement in the college. We have organised events such as the successful Summer Event, raised funds for the college, supported the annual Fashion Show and extra curricular activities.

How can you support the Friends of Hugh Christie?
There are a variety of ways to support the Friends of Hugh Christie from donating prizes for raffles and tombolas, buying raffle tickets to lending a hand at events. For those who are able to commit more time why not join the friendly group, we meet approximately once a term at Poult Wood Golf Centre.
If you shop online why not support us for free and benefit from some amazing deals with The Giving Machine. All you need to do is register online, select Hugh Christie as your beneficiary and go through The Giving Machine every time you shop to generate donations.

We held our AGM at the beginning of the new academic year, thank you to all those who attended.
For this next year we have tried to put together a mixture of activities to promote the school and provide funds for the students.
In the past, we have given money to various departments including, the PE department for netball dresses, the library for a variety of resources, SCIPS (a lunch time club) for games, the ICT department for new microphones and computer software. This year, we are hoping to buy some much-needed goal posts as well as continue to provide funds for the library.

The aim of the project is to bring together students from various schools to help to boost their confidence and self esteem. This year over 80 students took part in the show, which was a miscellany of the Arts.

The Showcase was a great success and all the students who took part gave an excellent performance and certainly showed enormous talent.
