‘The Land of Fire & Ice’ Expedition
Building on our successful expedition to Kenya in 2013 and Tanzania in 2015, we are planning a 9 day expedition to Iceland, 'The Land of Fire & Ice', in the Summer of 2016 for students in Year 11-13.
This trip will provide an awesome experience and will be a physical challenge and an opportunity to develop independence, resilience and leadership skills. Iceland is a beautiful country and the 9 day expedition that will include 5 days of trekking from Landmannalaugar to Þórsmörk will be spectacular.
The expedition will be led by Jake Thompsett and Dan Biddle from JTExpeditions and will include a 3 day/2 night training expedition in the Brecon Beacons during the Easter holidays.
Places will be strictly limited to 20 students to ensure maximum enjoyment and safety.
The Booking Form and Ts&Cs will be available in November 2015 and we will be holding a Parent Information Evening in the first week of next half term for those who are interested in participating in the expedition - Jake Thompsett, our Expedition Leader, will be available at this meeting (date TBC).
Booking is now open!
Please see the Booking Form, Booking Conditions and Joining Instructions in the documents on this page.
Please note that to secure a place on the expedition a cheque for the deposit (made payable to JTExpeditions) must but be sent with the Booking Form, but this will not be cashed until after the Parents' Information Evening in January.
