Hugh Christie A level Results 2016
Sixth Form leavers have achieved a 100% pass rate in their exams this year. A level outcomes improved by almost half a grade and Technical levels (work related equivalent of A levels) by more than one grade compared to 2015. The proportion securing the top three grades A*, A and B improved by almost 10% this year.
Haopeng Li achieved four A levels including two A* grades in Maths and Physics. Haopeng has secured a place to read Natural Sciences at Durham University, Nick Brain is among the other successful Physicists securing his place to study Aeronautics at Surrey University. Half the students taking A level Physics achieved either an A or A* grade in the subject.
Zanis Mivreniks achieved an A* grade in Graphic Design and will now be developing his huge talent in this area at university.
Lauren Henderson has secured a place at Liverpool University to study Marketing including a year in industry.
Joshua Hill achieved two Distinction star grades in Sport along with two other A levels. He has secured a university place to study Sport and Exercise Science.
I would like to congratulate all students on achieving these excellent results. The vast majority have secured the necessary grades for their next steps, including a significant number gaining their first choice University place. They have worked incredibly hard and these outcomes are well deserved. I would also like to thank the staff, whose excellent teaching and support has helped the students achieve so well.
