Arrangements in the event of severe weather

In the event of severe weather, it is highly unlikely that the school will close unless:

1. The site is not deemed safe by the management team

2. Insufficient staff are able to get to the school to supervise the local students likely to be attending.

If the school is open and the buses are running, your child should come to school as normal. Please make sure they are dressed in appropriate clothing in case the conditions change during the day.

If the decision is taken to close the school completely, partly or to not run certain bus services, the information will be posted on this website by 6-30am at the latest. Where possible, decisions will be taken the night before to give parents as much notice as possible so child care can be arranged if necessary.

No other source of information should be relied upon - the school will only use this website.

In the rare event that the school needs to close during the day, your child should have a safe alternative or a door key if you are not at home to let them in. If students have arrived on a bus, they will either remain with us at the school and be taken home on a bus when safe to do so.
