Invigilators needed
The Exams Department are inviting applications from prospective Invigilators to work during exam sessions in January, March, May/June and November. Although it is a part-time, seasonal role it is a vital one to the smooth running of the exams at Hugh Christie.
Applicants should have achieved a good standard of education. They must have a mature attitude with the ability to remain calm, think on their feet and use common sense to solve problems as they arise. During exam times the situation is often highly pressurised but at all times accuracy, attention to detail and an understanding of the necessity to adhere to the regulations are key to ensuring that the environment for our students during exams is the best that we can provide and fair for all.
Invigilators must be able to work as part of a team reporting to the Senior Invigilator. Hours are variable but applicants should be prepared to be available between 8am and 4pm on exam days. £7.80 per hour, minimum age is 19, and no current HCTC students should apply. Deadline for applicants is Thursday 15th December, interviews to take place on Thursday 5th January 2012.
